Tier 2 Exam Pattern:
This exam comprises of four papers and the time duration for each Paper is 2 hours. The duration is extended 40 minutes for candidates who are visually handicapped.

NOTE: a) Paper I and II are compulsory for all posts.

d) There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper II and of 0.50 marks in Paper I, Paper III and Paper IV.
Tier III Exam Pattern:

This exam comprises of a couple of skill tests like DEST (Data Entry Speed Test), CPT (Computer Proficiency Test), Document Verification etc. which are required for certain government posts.

1st Tier of Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Combined Graduate Level Exam is basically the first round of selection which an individual is required to qualify for appearing in successive rounds of selection. Candidates shortlisted in first round of exam will be required to write the mains written exam, which is a second stage process of selection. In mains exam, questions will be asked from one common subject as English Language & Comprehension and from other subject that will be as per the post for which you have applied for.

Third level of Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Combined Graduate Level includes Personality Test / Interview or Skill Test / Physical Endurance Test (PET) / Medical Examination. Candidates who will clear both Tier – I & II of selection process will only be called for Tier-III.
Candidates applied for Accountants post will may required to undergo through computer proficiency test (CPT) whereas who are willing to get the job in Central Excise and Income Tax Department, they have to appear for data entry speed test for final selection to applied post.
